I’ll Tell My Story

Throughout the Old Testament, and especially in the Psalms, God asks his people to remember what he’s brought them through and what he’s done for them. Remembrance and gratitude are important practices in Christian life, but it doesn’t stop there. We’re also called to share that remembrance with others and testify to the goodness of God in our lives.
We’d love to hear how God is working in your life, answering prayers, showing up for you, and covering you in love and grace. Psalm 107:1-3
1 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. 2 Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story— those he redeemed from the hand of the foe, 3 from east and west, from north and south.
Observations from the Text
- God’s goodness is cause for thanksgiving (v. 1)
- God’s love is everlasting (v. 1)
- We should share stories of God’s goodness and redemption in our lives (v. 2)
- God rescues us from adversity and gathers us together (v. 3)
Prayers of Response
Good and loving Father, I praise you for your faithfulness as I remember _________.
Way-maker, thank you for your redemption and grace; you give me such good gifts!
Prayer Requests
My Strength and Shield, as I struggle with _________, I pray that you’d remind me of all the ways you’ve rescued me. Fill me with gratitude and hope.
Rescuer, work out your redemption in _________’s story right now. May they feel your love and see your goodness in their life.
Prayers of Readiness
Today as I _________, give me opportunities to proclaim your goodness to others this week.
Lord, may you be glorified by my testimony of your faithfulness and love.
