SUPPORTING SCRIPTURE

Do you ever read Scripture and find yourself wondering, “is the Bible relevant today?” We definitely feel that disconnect. So we’ve set out to make Scripture meditations that give us a framework for how to start reading the Bible. Join us as we let the Bible be the Bible, and learn to engage with it meaningfully.

God is a Good Shepherd

You are in need of comfort and care just as much as the coworker, friend, or little person you take care of every day is.

So before you keep pushing through your busy day, take a minute to meditate on this analogy that Scripture offers us, where God is a good shepherd, and we are one of his little lambs. We hope it brings a deep breath of calm to your day like it does ours.

Scripture meditation below!

Isaiah 40:10-11

10 See, the Sovereign Lord comes with power,

and he rules with a mighty arm.

See, his reward is with him,

    and his recompense accompanies him.

11 He tends his flock like a shepherd:

He gathers the lambs in his arms

and carries them close to his heart;

he gently leads those that have young.

What This Teaches Us about God

  • God is powerful (v. 10)
  • He cares for us as a good shepherd (v. 11)
  • He gathers us close to him (v. 11)
  • He leads with gentleness (v. 11)

Prayer Requests
