SUPPORTING SCRIPTURE

The prayer life of a Christian can sometimes become tiresome, especially if you don’t feel like praying at the end of the day. We hope our simple prayers centered around everyday life will provide some guidance and help you grow in your prayer life.

Turning to God When You Feel Alone

Here’s your daily reminder that you are already seen, known, and understood by God. Start there.

And if you need a more tangible reminder of that, check out this verse:

She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: ‘You are the God who sees me,’ for she said, ‘I have now seen the One who sees me.’” (Genesis 16:13)

Just as God saw Hagar in her distress, he sees you. Join us as we pray for connection in seasons where we’re feeling isolated.

A Prayer for Feeling Isolated

God who is three-in-one; whose very essence is relational, meet me now in my loneliness and isolation—in this disconnection. God who sees me, who hears me, give me a tangible sense of your presence, and make your friendship with me real. Lead me to those who have space in their hearts for me, and to those to whom I can be the friend they are longing for. And plant me, Lord, in a community of your people where I can grow and help others grow, for your glory and our good. Amen.

We believe a simple prayer like this helps us in our mission to creatively explore how we connect with God in the ordinary, extraordinary, everyday moments of life. For more everyday prayers, visit this page!
