SUPPORTING SCRIPTURE

The prayer life of a Christian can sometimes become tiresome, especially if you don’t feel like praying. We hope our simple prayers centered around everyday life will provide some guidance and help you grow in your prayer life

A Prayer for Mothers

We’re jumping on the Mother’s Day celebration a little early, because let’s be real, we all know mothers deserve a whole lot more than a single day 😝.

From the second we showed up on this planet, small and helpless, the mothers in our lives have helped to form and shape every part of our journey, including our spiritual one.

While we’re asked to honor and appreciate our mothers every day of the year, we want to take a minute to specifically let them know their tireless efforts, selflessness, and steadfast faith have been transformational.

This blessing is not only for our biological mothers, but for all of the women who have walked alongside us to help raise us with affection, confidence, and virtue, whether they were our birth moms, aunts, sisters, grandmothers, or other maternal figures along the way.

“Honor her for all that her hands have done,

and let her works bring her praise at the city gate” (Proverbs 31:31).

A Mother’s Blessing

God of Sarah, Rebecca, and Leah, bless those who nurture, who comfort, who protect. We praise you for the tender hearts and fierce spirits of our mothers, whether by birth or by circumstance. We honor their sacrifice and limitless love, reminding us of your own. Give peace during times of trial and delight during moments mundane. May they remember that all of their labors, both seen and unseen, are held closely by you. Amen.

We believe a simple prayer like this helps us in our mission to creatively explore how we connect with God in the ordinary, extraordinary, everyday moments of life. For more everyday prayers, visit this page!
