SUPPORTING SCRIPTURE
Psalm 15:1-3 Do you ever read Scripture and find yourself wondering, “is the Bible relevant today?” We definitely feel that disconnect. So we’ve set out to make Scripture meditations that give us a framework for how to start reading the Bible. Join us as we let the Bible be the Bible, and learn to engage with it meaningfully.
God Loves Me in My Imperfections
Are you ever totally without flaws/blame? No? Okay, so we’re not alone then. PHEW.
So how, exactly, are we supposed to feel when we read things like Psalm 15 and it just goes on and on about how the only people who can dwell in God’s “sacred tent” (whatever that is) are those who are blameless, righteous, and…basically perfect?
At first, it’s like, “yikes. We don’t make the cut,” but THEN we’re quickly reminded that actually, we do. And not because we are perfect, but because Jesus already was.
He was blameless, and he gave us the Holy Spirit to walk with us, and show us the right and best way. Do we get it right every time? Yeah, no… Do we keep asking for his help? Absolutely.
Check out this Scripture meditation through Psalm 15.
Psalm 15:1-3
1 Lord, who may dwell in your sacred tent?
Who may live on your holy mountain?
2 The one whose walk is blameless,
who does what is righteous,
who speaks the truth from their heart;
3 whose tongue utters no slander,
who does no wrong to a neighbor,
and casts no slur on others;
