SUPPORTING SCRIPTURE
1 John 4:19-21 Trying to build a prayer life can be difficult—whether you don’t know how to pray or you don’t feel like praying. So we’re here to help you connect with God with simple prayers for the everyday.
Loving Others Well
It’s easy to say we love God and others, but it’s a lot harder to live it out.
God loves everyone equally, and as Christians trying to live for him, we should try to do the same. Even if we disagree with people, we are still called to love them.
“We love because he first loved us. Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister” (1 John 4:19-21).
Join us in this short prayer for putting love into action—one of the most impactful ways to truly make a difference in the world!
A Prayer for Putting Love into Action
Faithful God, who loves in both word and deed, help us see the needs of those around us, regardless of their backgrounds or beliefs, and to feed them, or clothe them, or defend them. May we be defined by who we are for, and not by who we are against. Help us be like you, and not just love in word or speech but in action and in truth. Amen.
