SUPPORTING SCRIPTURE

If you don’t know how to pray, getting started can feel strange. So, check out this simple prayer to help you grow in your prayer life, and connect with God today!

Fun in the Winter

Do you want to build a snowman? Now that song is stuck in your head. You’re welcome! 🤣 Or maybe when you think of snowmen you think of Calvin (from Calvin and Hobbes) and all of his crazy snow creations. My fav? Probably the octopus-looking monster eating a snowman. 🐙Or maybe you’re wondering why not suggest building a snow fort?! 🙃

So what are you going to create today? Or are you still waiting on enough snow to make something (you could always save this prayer for later)? Sorry to all of our warm-climate friends who miss out!

Before you get started, check out this Scripture and prayer to praise God for his gifts of snow and creativity.

Have you entered the storehouses of the snow

or seen the storehouses of the hail,

which I reserve for times of trouble,

for days of war and battle?” (Job 38:22-23).

A Prayer for Building a Snowman

Keeper of the storehouses of snow, thank you for the gifts of carrots and creativity. I praise you for the uniqueness of every snowflake and every person who uses them to craft unique creations. Thank you for this clean snow, reminding me of your forgiveness. Thank you for the weather that reminds me of your strength, power, and beauty. As I roll, stack, and decorate these three giant snowballs, remind me of how you handcrafted me. Amen.
