A simple prayer is all it takes to connect with God every day. And if you donโt know how to pray, no worries! Weโve got you covered. Check out this simple prayer below to get started!ย
How Does God See Me?
When you look in the mirror, where do your eyes linger? What parts of your body do you look at more closely? What features are you either not proud of or even embarrassed by? What do you wish you could change?ย
We all have those spots. The marks or bumps or scars. The areas with too much or not enough hair. The features that are too big or too small. The muscles that arenโt quite there or the veins that are too noticeable.ย
And most of us see those places differently because someone, at some point, made a comment, or pointed, or asked a question that didnโt even need to be hurtful, but it was. And for those of us that have been bulliedโ Lord, have mercy.ย
Today, when you look in the mirror and get dressed, we want to remind you what God sees when he sees you naked. And to ask him to help all of us see ourselves the way he sees us.ย
โI praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full wellโ (Psalm 139:14).
A Prayer for Seeing Yourself Naked
Artist and Creator, you put this body together from my head to my toes, and when you look at me you see something youโre proud of and love. Even when you look at the particular part of me that I see right nowโthe part I wish was differentโyou see beauty. Help me to see myself the way you see me. Help me embrace this gift of my body, and accept myself the way you do. Amen.ย
