ย Reading the Bible is an important part of how we can grow in our faith, but we know many people question why the Bible is not relevant for today. With its old language and confusing references, it can feel irrelevant or disconnected. But these Scripture meditations are meant to help us bridge that disconnect and encounter reasons why the Bible is relevant.
Why Donโt I Fit In?
Different.
As Christians, weโre called to live life differently, and this plays out in many areas. Our calling impacts how we speak, serve, think, make decisions, rank our prioritiesโฆ the list goes on and on.
Sometimes, this creates tension in our lives and relationships, especially with people who donโt have a relationship with God. It feels uncomfortable. Itโs easy to want to go back to old ways to fit in. We all want to feel like we belong. This is a good desire!
But part of the Christian life is realizing we no longer belong with the world; we belong with Godโs family. And being a part of that family means living differently, glorifying God, and loving others in a way that invites more people into the family with us.ย
1 Peter 2:9
โBut you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, Godโs special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.โ
