The Christian prayer life can sometimes feel stale. It doesnโt mean your faith is weak, or that youโre doing something wrongโso donโt get hung up on it! It just happens. But if you want to connect with God and donโt know how to pray, or simply donโt feel like praying…then these everyday prayers are for you.ย
Returning to the Classroom
Back-to-school seasonโs here, and weโve got the teachers on our minds. How many other job introductions are immediately met with, โBless your heart, I could NEVER!โ ๐ง
There are a lotta things that teachers could useโฆ a raise, more supplies, another break ๐. Today, as theyโre preparing to return to our students, weโre feeling like they could also use our prayers in celebration of their gifts and sacrifices.ย
So, if youโre a teacher dealing with back-to-school anxiety, or someone who has a teacher in your life, take a minute with this prayer (and real talk, go pick up a small gift card or something thatโs not an apple, if ya can).
โI keep my eyes always on the Lord.
ย ย ย ย With him at my right hand, I will not be shakenโ (Psalm 16:8).
A Prayer for Teachers
Patient Rabbi, who ignites wonder and curiosity, bless the teachers around us. Thank you for the way they model your careful love and guidance to those most precious in our lives. Grant them creativity to share their passions, energy to complete their work, compassion to meet the needs of others, and discernment to recognize their boundaries. Assure them in times of doubt that they might know the seeds they plantโthose of kindness, imagination, and empathyโwill produce a bountiful harvest. Keep their classrooms safe and their coffee warm. Amen.
