Journey Through Lent, Day 36

This far into our journey through Lent, weโ€™ve seen countless examples of how the world is broken.ย

Having focused on this brokenness for thirty-five days in a row, it can start wearing on us! And it can be hard to be able to see the good that is coming in the future.ย

Well, we found a song that helps us both reflect on the brokenness, but also directs our eyes toward whatโ€™s coming at Easter!

Specifically, listen for these words that have so encouraged usโ€ฆ โ€œAnd now Your victory songโ€™s raised, itโ€™s echoing age to age, that through darkness, there came a light.โ€ Just a few more days of darkness, friends, the light is coming!ย

Featured Song

Scripture

โ€œIn him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome itโ€ (John 1:4โ€“5).

Reflect

Where do you most feel the โ€œdarknessโ€ of the world? Where is it most clear to you that things are not as they should be? Bring those to God in the comments or in a journal, and ask the Holy Spirit to help you see how the death and resurrection of Jesus brings light into that darkness.ย ย
