Grace Isnโt Earned, Itโs Offered
Youโre still trying to work for the grace God gave you freely.
We see you, because weโre just like you. We know on one level that Godโs grace isnโt earned, itโs offered as a free gift. But then again, we feel a strong compulsion to โdoโ something in response to this giftโto act, perform, or โbeโ the right way.
The line between โdoingโ out of gratitude, and โdoingโ to try to prove ourselves worthy of Godโs gift can be a thin, dangerous line.

Isaiah 40:1-2
1 Comfort, comfort my people,
says your God.
2 Speak tenderly to Jerusalem,
and proclaim to her
that her hard service has been completed,
that her sin has been paid for,
that she has received from the Lordโs hand
double for all her sins.
