Journey Through Lent, Day 3

Our brokenness can leave us feeling so alone and wondering, “Why am I the only one hurting?”

But here’s the kicker: We are all broken. Yep, every one of us. We all have our own baggage and day-to-day struggles we fight against. And when we are able to acknowledge our faults and realize we are broken, we can find relief. Because acknowledgement is the first step to freedom.

We set out to find a featured song that could get us into the “Lent spirit” for today’s devo. Turns out, digging through music libraries to find a solid song about sin and brokenness was an interesting journey.

But alas, IMRSQD came in like a champ with the song, “Crimson.” We love the chill beats set behind lyrics that creatively invite us into a heavy topic, highlighting the doubt and questions we’ve often asked ourselves!

Scripture

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery” (Galatians 5:1).

Reflect

Take some time to process what “brokenness” God might be gently exposing in you through your current season. In what ways might you need help from God or others?
