Coffee brewing can be a specialized work of art or a necessary step to getting through the day—either way, it’s an invitation to pause and let God meet you where you are. So next time you push the automatic button or take time to weigh your beans and heat water to the perfect temp, join us in meditating on this Scripture and praying this prayer.

A Prayer for Brewing Coffee

Refresher of Souls, you infused creation with things we need for energy, strength, and delight. Thank you for this coffee filled with caffeine and flavor. As I grind these beans, transform me from the inside out. As I brew the grounds, may the aroma surround me with your presence and love. And as I fill my cup and clean up the mess, fill me up and pour me out for the sake of others. Amen.
