SUPPORTING SCRIPTURE

A simple prayer is all it takes to connect with God every day. And if you donโ€™t know how to pray, no worries! Weโ€™ve got you covered. Check out this simple prayer below to get started!ย

Is It Christmas Yet?

The holidays were busy with friends, family, traveling, laughter, presents, and game nightsโ€ฆ And, sure, there were some emotional and exhausting moments, but overallโ€“ well, thereโ€™s a reason why itโ€™s called the most wonderful time of the year, right?

It was nice to have a bit of a break from the festivities, but now, reality is starting to set in.

Weโ€™re supposed to wait another 340-some not-most-wonderful days before we get to experience this again ๐Ÿ˜ญ?!

While one of the things that makes the holidays so special is the anticipation and the fleeting nature of the season, it can still be a letdown when itโ€™s all over and back to โ€œnormal life.โ€ The busyness of the season can also sometimes cover up some of the negative emotions weโ€™ve been struggling to processโ€“ loneliness, stress, loss. And, now youโ€™ve got to face them all again.

If youโ€™re struggling with the Post-Holiday Blues, take a minute to pray with us:

โ€œAnd he said to them, Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.โ€™โ€ (Mark 16:15).

A Prayer for Post-Holiday Blues

King of Time, thank you for the gift of celebration, a way to anticipate our eternal celebration in your presence. As I return to my normal rhythms of life, help me remember your Good News! The hope I have in you lasts year-round. Let me find delight and fellowship in the everyday. Show me the connection to youย  in each ordinary moment and that every instant provides an opportunity to draw closer to you. Amen.
