Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. | Matthew 11:28-30 ☀️

Are you just hearing 🦗🦗🦗 from God in response to your latest request? We’ve been there!!
If you, like us, need a little help getting through seasons of unanswered prayer, check out these four “things to do.” For more details, the whole piece is linked in our bio!
1. Ask for Peace
God’s peace, given the circumstances, doesn’t make sense (Phil. 4:7). It won’t make your problems go away. But as you ask him for peace, it can help calm win out over anxiety, trust to replace fear of never getting what we need, and confidence to overcome the doubt that God doesn’t have a plan.
2. Remember What God’s Done
Try writing down a handful of specific times when God came through (for you, for others, or even different characters from the Bible). As you do, you’ll see God’s character come through. And remember that he hasn’t changed. In his way and timing, he’ll come through for you again.
3. Consider Alternatives
Instead of sending up the same prayer, try asking God if you’re even praying for the best thing. Maybe you’re not ready yet. Or maybe he’s got something totally better up his sleeve.
Regardless, it’ll be helpful to train your heart to soften a little while considering that his plan and timing might be pretty different from yours!
4. Take One Day at a Time
Depending on the gravity of our prayer, waiting for an answer can be totally overwhelming. But remember that today, you only need enough strength to get through today. You can admit the hardness of this season, and draw near to God, cashing in on his promise to be a safe place of refuge for his people (Proverbs 18:10).
Once you’ve done all these things, keep doing them on repeat (and find new things that are helpful). Seasons like this won`t always make sense. Sometimes you’ll figure out their purpose later on, and sometimes you won’t. Both times, God’s goodness is trustworthy, and he can help you make it through.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿? 𝗗𝗿𝗼𝗽 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀!
There is someone who will never leave you. There is a love you never have to strive for. Try this breath prayer with us.
“Whom have I in heaven but you?
And earth has nothing I desire besides you” (Psalm 73:25).
Breath Prayer is a way of aligning your breathing with a short prayer or psalm, in order to slow you down and draw you closer to God. You only need a line or two of scripture to help ground and comfort you in the truths of his nearness and his love.

💡 This is what it`s all about. Him.
👑 We were created to worship Him.
🌬️ Our every breath is made to worship Him.
🫂 All He did was for us, so all we do should be for Him.
☝🏼 Take us back to our first love.
"He is the one you praise; he is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes" (Deuteronomy 10:21).

There may be moments in your life where you feel like a little boat out in stormy seas, tossed and tumbled by the wind and waves. The water is rising, the air is thinning, and decisions can be difficult. Next steps, big commitments, drama between friends, or an overflowing schedule can make it feel like you’re drowning.
But you aren’t a dinghy stranded in unknown waters. You have a captain who has plotted the perfect course for you!
Here’s a verse and a prayer for you as you enter into, exit out of, or sail through times of rougher waters. Don’t lose sight of the fact that you have a heavenly captain guiding you, wave after wave.
𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you” (Psalm 32:8).
𝐀 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐝’𝐬 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞/ 𝐀 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐩’𝐬 𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐚
Jesus, my shepherd, my guide, and my captain, thank you for your Holy Spirit. Thank you for steering me in the right direction and being my life raft when I go through rough waters.
“Guide me Lord as a ship on the sea
Make my course arrive to You safely
For how am I to know better than thee?
You spoke this world to life, it was not me”
Encourage me to lean on you when I need it, and when I think I don’t. Remind me daily that your eyes are always on my horizon. I have no reason to worry about my future. Amen.

We’re at the age where the people we grew up with are all at drastically different stages of life; some are married, some are single, some have careers, some are still in school.
When we see everyone moving on to new things, it can make us feel like we need to catch up. But we don’t. God has a unique timeline for us, and he doesn`t want us to compare ours to another’s; he just wants us to focus on where we’re going with him.
Peter struggles with this kind of comparison when Jesus asks his disciples to follow him in John 21. Instead of focusing on Jesus, Peter asks questions about Jesus’s plan for another disciple. Jesus tells Peter not to worry about what’s going on with anyone else— just focus on following him.
Navigating life is hard, so looking to see how others handle it might feel like the natural response. But God doesn’t want us to get stuck in comparison; he wants us to walk in his timing for us.
𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝟐𝟏:𝟐𝟏-𝟐𝟐
19 …Then he said to him, “Follow me!” 20 Peter turned and saw that the disciple whom Jesus loved was following them…21 When Peter saw him, he asked, “Lord, what about him?” 22 Jesus answered, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me.”
𝐎𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐱𝐭
Jesus calls us to follow him (v. 19)
Even the disciples had trouble focusing solely on Jesus (v. 20-21)
Instead of comparing ourselves to others, we should focus on following where Jesus is leading (v. 22)

Crafter of Plans, I struggle with staying focused on you, especially when I think about _______.
Lord Who Provides, I often compare your plan for me to your plan for others’.
𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬
God of Purpose, help me understand that just because someone else is in a stage I’m not, doesn’t mean I’m behind in life.
Everlasting God, stop me from judging the timeline of my life based on _______’s life.
𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬
Lord Who Leads, keep my focus on you today when I start to feel behind in _______.
Faithful Creator, remind me of your perfect timing for everything. Even when I feel behind, I can never fall behind in your plan for me.
It can be hard to set up routines… and for some reason, routines feel especially tough when it comes to bible reading. We’ve tried the plans, the apps, the journals…
We get it. Finding the time, the energy, the quiet, or the ability to focus enough to make an encounter with scripture ꧁☬meaningful☬꧂ can be hard…
But, God’s not checking in to see if you’ve been reading your Bible every day and logging your streaks 🔥🔥🔥. He just wants to be in close relationship with you. And, honestly? Spending time with the good book—even if we miss a day or two—really does help us learn more about the one who loves us most. 🤓
Even if it doesn’t happen daily, and even if you don’t have the perfect atmosphere, we’ve found that asking God to come alongside us when we’re reading scripture makes the time that we *do* spend in the Bible truly intentional, transforming, and restoring.
Here’s a scripture and a prayer to help you out:
𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞
“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path” (Psalm 119:105).
𝐀 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞
Jesus, Word who became flesh, be present with me today as I encounter the written word. Open my ears to hear the message you have prepared for me. Open my eyes to see your love in every story, especially the tough ones. Let me not become trapped by my own knowledge, biases, or desire for merit, but keep my heart open to the guidance of your Spirit. And, Lord, as I continue to learn more about you through the Bible, help me be transformed by your love. Amen.
"You’ve probably had a time or two like that in your life. Dinner, if you’re lucky enough to be home for it, is eaten quickly over the sink before rushing out the door to the next event, game, appointment, or just flipping open your computer, clicking on the project that’s due soon, and diving back in. It’s good to hear Jesus’s words during these times: `Come away and rest.` Rest for our bodies, hearts, and minds." -J.R. Hudberg
Fall often is a season of returning to routines and trying to balance a million different responsibilities. Taking time to rest often seems impractical at best, maybe even irresponsible. J.R. reminds us, however, that rest isn`t a just a luxury, but both an invitation and a command.

Have You Talked to God About It?
"The Lord is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.
He fulfills the desires of those who fear him;
he hears their cry and saves them"(Psalm 145:18-19).

It`s time to speak to your mountain and tell it to move. Because your God is bigger than any struggle you face.
"He will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler" (Psalm 91:4).

May I learn to see your goodness in the land of the living,
because I still have breaths to take.
May not one day pass me by where I don`t stop and praise you,
simply because you deserve it.
May I step into my own language of worship that only speaks of your spirit and truth.
Even as I am unfinished and a bit rough,
May I choose to still speak of your goodness, knowing you will carve something beautiful out of me.
Trusting that you`ll finish what you started in me.
May I trust your hand in my unrefined state.
Like a raw peice of splintered wood in the hands of a good carpenter.
Or an out of tune guitar in the hands of a skilled worshipper.
May I be in no rush from the place of the heart.
For I know you are doing a faithful work there.
May I not cheat the refinement process.
For the weight of my eternity rests in it.
I`m not looking to leave, I`m looking to go deep.
May I trust the tuning of my heart to your cosmic melody.
May your song ever be on my tongue and eternally ingrained in my heart.
May I submit to the maker`s process in me, as long as it takes.
May my need to be finished be surpassed by the desire to just be in your hand.
Lord would you tune my heart to sing of your grace.
