A Prayer for Rainy Days

SCRIPTURE REFERENCE

Psalm 72:6

A simple prayer is all it takes to connect with God every day. And if you don’t know how to pray, no worries! We’ve got you covered. Check out this simple prayer below to get started!

What to Do in the Rain

The sky is gray, the forecast isn’t budging, and the rain just keeps falling. Maybe you love it—cozy vibes, hot drinks, and a reason to slow down. Or maybe you’re staring out the window, wondering if the sun is ever coming back.

Rainy days have a way of setting the tone, whether peaceful or dreary. But they also remind us that God sends refreshment at just the right time, watering the earth, nourishing what’s growing, and sometimes, giving us permission to pause.

So, whether you’re happily curled up inside or counting down the hours until blue skies return, here’s a Scripture and a prayer for this rainy day.

“He will be like rain falling on a mown field, like showers watering the earth” (Psalm 72:6).

A Prayer for Rainy Days

Fountain of Life, who sends showers to the earth and revives tired souls, let this rain restore me as it does the land. As dark clouds dim the sky, and the rain forces our world to slow, bring peace and quiet to me as well. Where I feel stuck inside, give me contentment. Where I feel weighed down, refresh me. And where I feel parched, pour out your grace in abundance. Amen.
