SUPPORTING SCRIPTURE

The prayer life of a Christian can sometimes become tiresome, especially if you don’t feel like praying. We hope our simple prayers centered around everyday life will provide some guidance and help you grow in your prayer life.

Brain Health Matters

So…Mental health. It’s for sure a buzzword, and there’s definitely a stigma that comes with it. BUT… deep down, you know you need it, or something like it, at least.

Maybe you don’t have a diagnosed mental illness, but you know anxiety has been creeping in where it’s not welcome. There are also some days when it just feels difficult to enjoy anything.

But our brains are a super important part of our bodies, and brain health matters. And if you often feel stressed, anxious, overwhelmed, or unable to enjoy the simple pleasures of life it might be time to find some pro-help. But maybe you’re just looking for a first step to break the loop of negativity in your mind and heart. If that’s you, join us in this simple prayer for mental health:

A Prayer for Mental Health

Joy-maker, help me experience the pleasure of this day. Peace-giver, hush my anxious heart. Time-keeper, heal past hurts and help me trust you with tomorrow. God who knit together my brain and heart, guide both to rest and harmony. Open my eyes to see where I can join you in avoiding stressors, turning off screens, and eating well. And open my ears to hear your voice if I need to find professional help. Heal and strengthen my mind, O Lord. Amen.

Ecclesiastes 11:10 (NRSV)
“Banish anxiety from your mind, and put away pain from your body; for youth and the dawn of life are vanity.”
