SCRIPTURE REFERENCE
The prayer life of a Christian can feel exhausting sometimes. Here is one of our simple prayers written to help you grow in your prayer life and connect with God, especially if you don’t feel like praying. Check it out!
The Challenge of Being Online
Before you hit “share”… pause.
Posting online is second nature now—so quick, so casual, so normal. But what if we began to treat our words online as sacred space? Because they are. They can carry power, permanence, and sometimes unintended weight.
It’s easy to react in frustration, share without thinking, or post from a place of wanting to be seen or heard. But what if we made a habit of asking simple, Spirit-led questions before we post?
→ Is this actually true?
→ Is this kind?
→ Is this helpful or healing?
Even in the digital world, our words can bring light or more noise.
This prayer isn’t about censoring your voice. It’s about reclaiming the posture behind it. To speak online as people rooted in love, not outrage. To reflect Jesus in the comment section, not just in Sunday worship.
Before you post, take a breath. Invite God into that moment.
Let your words, even the digital ones, be an act of worship.
“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord” (Psalm 19:14).
A Prayer Before Posting Online
Spirit of wisdom, who both guides and silences our words, help me pause before I post online. Before speaking to strangers or friends on a screen, help me remember that words can heal or harm. When I feel the need to be seen, slow me down. When I want to prove a point, give me gentleness. When I just want to be right, give me love instead. Use my words to make space for peace and understanding. Use my posts to remind others that kindness still matters. And when I have nothing good to say, teach me to stay silent and listen instead for your voice. Amen.
