Feeling like you’re not quite where you want to be in life?

Join us as we find peace by asking God what HIS plans look like. Today, Maggie shares about a journey of open-handedness, and finding purpose right where she is.

Testimony Q & A with Maggie Fields

Q: What has God challenged you with in your relationships/work-life recently?

Maggie: Recently, God has challenged me to embrace meekness and submission in every area of my life. I get so caught up in my own feelings and plans about where I think I should be in life or who I think I should be with. I’m learning what it looks like to open my hands and release these things, and to submit my will to God’s. This doesn’t mean that I become a pushover or a wallflower, but that I make a conscious choice to become a servant, learning to gladly deny myself and to seek God first and always!

Scripture

“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails” (Proverbs 19:21).

Reflect

Bring to mind a specific aspect of your life that has unmet expectations. Take a minute to ask God how his plans (or timing) might be different than yours. Listen for what he might say!
